A word from the sommelier

Un grand vin rouge long et persistant doté d’un beau potentiel de garde.
Un premier nez de pruneaux puis des notes complexes d’épices et de sous-bois. La bouche est structurée autour de tannins riches et concentrés exprimant une maturité poussée. La palette aromatique complexe est dominée par les notes épicées du Pinot Noir.

With the Italian Laura Semeria leaving, an era came to an end at Domaine de Montcy. Now it’s Vincent Hayer, agricultural engineer and vineyard worker of the estate who has taken over the reins. In the heart of the Loire’s stronghold of organic and natural wine, Domaine de Montcy quickly converted to organic agriculture. The wines are vinified using indigenous yeast which are naturally present in the grape, without adding enzymes and only a very limited amount of sulphur. The result are genuine and generous cuvées.
