THE PRODUCER

In 1981, Jean Foillard took over the family business with the help of his father. Then, in 1985, he converted his 16 hectares of Gamay vines to organic farming and began to produce natural Beaujolais wines in the Morgon AOP. Jean Foillard decided to produce according to organic principles in his vineyards and started the certification process. Vatting is done as naturally as possible with the Gamay grapes being vinified as whole grapes and carbonic maceration at low temperatures with a minimal addition of sulphur dioxide. A true pioneer, Jean Foillard has become, over the years and through experience, one of the greatest winemakers in the Beaujolais region.
