Warre

Founded in 1670, Warre’s is the first and oldest British Port Company in Portugal. Several generations of the Warre family have been at the head of the company, along with recently joined new partners such as the Symington family. To produce its wines, the company owns three of the best estates in the Douro Valley: Quinta da Cavadinha in the Pinhao Valley, Quinta da Retiro and Quinta da Telhada. It also has vineyards belonging to the Symington family: Quinta do Alvito and Quinta das Netas. Combining traditional techniques with innovations such as the creation of “automatic lagar”, Warre’s continues to produce renowned Ports as evidenced by the numerous awards it has received.
