THE PRODUCER

In 1926, the Jolivet family entered the world of wine by launching the Jolivet et Fils trading company under the impetus of Louis and Lucien. A few years later, Pascal, Louis’ grandson, followed the advice of his father Jaques and went into the wine trade in the Champagne Pommery house. He then returned to his home region to become a “trader-winemaker” in 1987. He created the “Pascal Jolivet” brand and took a decisive turn in 1990, when Pascal hired the oenologist Jean Luc Soty. They opted for a natural vinification with 100 % indigenous yeasts. In 1993, Jacques and Pascal acquired their first vines in Sancerre. Nowadays they own almost 120 hectares of vines in the Pouilly Fumé and Sancerre appellation.
